I’ll try not to spoil too much, but something else gets kindof in the way of them, and puts one of them in the background. Which I hope they do something about in the third movie, cus they spend to much time apart and one of them get way too few lines - in the book they are always as a pair. Also, we loose a lot of what should have had betwen the boys, and end up having something else - all lost of the book - instead. But in the end we still see some brotherly love.
The Fili/Kili relationship is probably the only thing that kinda dissapointed me about the movie. It really bugs me how one of them turns out as more important than the other one in this movie!
(I do not Incest ship them, i ship them as bromance)
But you don’t understand. Effie saw a future with Peeta and Katniss’ children. She saw them living happy, rich, beautiful. She thought that they had finally gotten peace, and she was so happy for them. She wanted to go to their house and play with the kids, teach them all about capitol and the beautiful life. She was not mean or stupid, just born and raised in this culture that she was never truly touched by with feels of fear and hatred. This is one of the first times Effie really feel hate and fear, because in this scene she is truly sorry. Truly sorry that the only two persons that she has seen grow, two of the only persons she loved, are now sent to the certain death. Peeta and Katniss grew to be like Effie’s children, and that is beautiful.
Just home from The Hobbit dof, and it was amazing. So far from the books, and Kilis outlook was all wrong, but it works much better with the LOTR.. And I knew Tolkien wanted that. And I think he would have loved thia movie! Amazing and such stunning, both cast, places and animation. And Benedict was great!
